Robinsons Land president wins 2017 Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year
Frederick D. Go, president of Robinsons Land Corporation, has been chosen by the editors of Property Report magazine to be the Real Estate Personality of the Year at the fifth annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2017, presented by Kohler.
The special award is given to an individual who has left lasting contributions to the country’s dynamic real estate industry.
“I am very grateful and humbled by this prestigious award. It is a recognition of the effort put in over the years of the entire Robinsons Land team,” says Go. “We have built so many landmark projects that have become integral parts of people’s lives.”
Go has been with Robinsons Land since its infancy as its chief operating officer when the company was established more than half a century ago. Because of his exemplary leadership, he became company president in 2006, overseeing the firm’s overall growth and development of shopping centers, office buildings, residential condominiums and subdivisions as well as hotels and resorts.
Transforming people’s dreams into reality
“We want to transform people’s dreams into reality through real estate projects that last generations,” he shares. “The Magnolia complex, the Sapphire Bloc, the Westin hotel and residences, and the Bridgetowne complex are some of our more recent prominent projects. The happiness we bring to the provinces through our Robinsons Malls and Go Hotels are what gives me much satisfaction.”
A graduate of the prestigious Ateneo de Manila University, Go cites his educational background as foundation to his sharp management and business sense.
“I wouldn’t be here today without spending my formative years in Ateneo. The Management Engineering bachelor’s degree programme trained me to be logical, process oriented, entrepreneurial, fair, and resourceful.”
Improved quality of life for everyone
Robinsons Land is one of the top nominees at the annual awards competiton, with five nominations in various categories and segments of the market.
“We at Robinsons Land want to leave a legacy of having improved the quality of life of everyone we have touched in our businesses, whether they are a mall customer or partner, an occupant in our office building, a hotel guest or a homeowner,” shares Go. “We are building the business of building dreams and making life better.”
Robinsons Land’s Go will be presented his special award at the gala dinner of the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards on Thursday, 4 May 2017 at the Fairmont Makati, in front of around 250 guests and government VIPs such as Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon T. Teo.
