PropertyGuru co-founder Steve Melhuish invites you to a webinar on construction tech
Asia’s leading ConsTech pioneers will join to discuss digitised processes and sustainability challenges in the built environment
Steve Melhuish, former CEO and co-founder at PropertyGuru Group, is inviting real estate leaders to join the Revitalising construction through technology webinar on 23 July 2020 at 4PM SGT/HKT. The online conference organised by Wavemaker Partners, where he currently serves as a venture partner, will be tackling the many challenges faced by the sector and the solutions offered by construction technology (ConsTech).
Since this sector serves as the backbone of many countries across the globe, experts are worried that it still remains to be one of the least digitised. Throughout the pandemic, the impact of the industry’s under reliance to technology was significantly felt when the major infrastructure projects, construction operations and global flow of manpower was disrupted. Apart from that, the long-term impact of climate change has always been a major threat, particularly since this industry has the power and resources to mitigate the effect.
On 23 July 2020 at 4PM SGT/HKT, leading ConsTech pioneers will be sharing their valuable insights to guide businesses who are interested to take advantage of ConsTech. Partner at McKinsey Singapore Mukund Sridhar will discuss how his company has utilised technology to address productivity and sustainability challenges in the built environment.
Denis Branthonne, co-founder and CEO at Novade, will talk about the digitised construction processes to raise productivity, insights and safety. Ackcio co-founder and CEO Nimantha Baranasuriya will then share a reliable wireless monitoring system for construction sites to mitigate risks and increase safety.
Co-founder and CEO at Sama Kirtan Patel will explain how employers can hire workers faster and in a more ethical manner. Brandon Ng, co-founder and CEO at Ampd Energy, will examine the electrification of sites to minimise carbon emissions, noise and boost productivity. Hydroleap founder and CEO Mohammad Sherafatmand will then reveal how an automated and environment-friendly wastewater treatment can reduce cost by 50 percent.
Meanwhile, founder and CEO of Venture Brander RCo and former Bloomberg reporter Regina Tan will be moderating the webinar. The event is organised by Wavemaker Partners and supported by PropertyGuru Group, Enterprise Singapore, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, InvestHK and GeoWorks.
