BANGKOK, Thailand –– 3 July 2020
The PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards 2020 series will hold a mix of virtual and physical gala events in several countries around the region, extending the market reach of the nominated developers and projects via traditional and multimedia channels.
Celebrating 15 years as the ultimate hallmark of excellence in the region’s real estate sector, the prestigious programme becomes the first property awards series in Asia-Pacific to shift to digital formal celebrations for various markets.
The new virtual gala format will be used for the following events: 7th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Malaysia); 10th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore); 6th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards; and 8th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards. Visit the official website for more updates.
With health and safety front-of-mind, the virtual galas will be conducted in a closed studio setting and observe social distancing rules in line with prevailing health guidelines. Shortlisted property developers and special awardees will be accepting the awards remotely and virtually, with their golden statuettes and certificates after the gala night.
Same stamp of excellence
The shift to digital space allows the region’s leading and most prestigious real estate awards series to celebrate the best residential and commercial developers of the past year, and broadcast their achievements to industry peers, agents, investors and consumers via multiple online channels with integrated networking opportunities.
The virtual PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards will provide nominated developers, projects and designs with the same respected stamps of excellence. Award-winners will be showcased via engaging video clips, stylish photos, and remotely recorded speeches, adding a personal touch to the virtual awards experience. There will also be a ‘Virtual Red Carpet’ pre-show event before the official start of the digital gala ceremony, where exclusive interview clips with event sponsors and members of the independent judging panel will be featured.
Winning developers will also be invited to participate in a ‘Virtual Winners Roundtable’ after gala ceremony, or to participate in webinars and panels hosted by the PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit, the premier gathering of the real estate industry’s finest minds, top-level business leaders and decision-makers.
Existing entries for the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards 2020 will also be judged as normal based on the established criteria whilst entry submission cut-offs will be extended as necessary for each market. The general public are encouraged to submit their nominations online via asiapropertyawards.com/nominations.
‘A truly immersive, interactive event’
Multistreamed on asiapropertyawards.com/en/newsroom/ and through official social media channels including YouTube and Facebook, Asia’s first virtual real estate industry award series gives award-winning developers a chance to extend their market reach like never before.
Jules Kay, managing director of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, said: “The new normal presents a unique opportunity for us to make the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards a truly immersive, interactive digital experience this year. We are proud to be the first real estate awards series in Asia to hold these premium virtual gala celebrations across the region. Celebrating outstanding developers in a digital space lets us amplify their brands via multiple online channels and extend their market reach like never before, with integrated networking opportunities to connect them to the best of the best players within the property sector.”
The 2020 awards series will be a mix of virtual galas and physical events in certain markets, with the much-anticipated Grand Final being held as an in-person ceremony on 4 December in Bangkok, Thailand — the home of the Asia Property Awards — where country awardees from around the region will gather to compete for more accolades whilst still observing safety protocols.
