Middle East and South Asia developers compete for honours at the 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards International Luncheon
Introducing the inaugural PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Middle East) and celebrating the return of the awards in South Asia, setting new benchmarks of real estate in the rapidly growing regions
BANGKOK, Thailand — PropertyGuru Group (NYSE:PGRU), Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, has officially unveiled the shortlist of nominees for its real estate awards in South and Southwest Asia.
The 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards International Luncheon will honour the finest real estate in the Middle East, India, and Sri Lanka during an exclusive ceremony on Friday, 13 December at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.
The International Luncheon will feature the inaugural edition of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Middle East), alongside the return of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (India) and PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka).
The shortlisted nominees from these regions include Home Lands Skyline (Pvt) Ltd; Oud Real-Estate Development Company; Signature Global (India) Limited; and Suryam Developers LLP. These exemplary companies represent a fine crop of nominated projects such as By the Waters by Suryam Developers LLP; Oceana Beach Resort Apartments & Villas – Wadduwa; Signature Global Titanium SPR; The North Yard; and Waterdale Residencies, bordering Colombo 7.
The first Awards in the Middle East represent the next phase in the ongoing expansion of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series, now in its 19th year. This expansion comes as the progressive region moves forward with ambitious digital and economic development plans, aimed at enhancing business competitiveness and attracting investments.
In South Asia, the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (India) and PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Sri Lanka) are marking their fifth editions in 2024, further solidifying the awards programme’s presence in the rapidly growing region.
Apart from these regions, the 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards International Luncheon will recognise the finest real estate from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and Cambodia, showcasing the programme’s influence across Asia Pacific.
The 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards series covers key property markets across Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southwest Asia, and Oceania, with exclusive events and ceremonies that honour the Gold Standard of real estate.
Independent panels of judges, composed of experts in real estate and related industries, select the shortlist of nominees. The panel of judges in the Middle East consists of Stephen Oehme, director, Quantum Analysis PTE LTD Singapore, and James A. Kaplan, CEO, Destination Capital Company Limited. Ajai A Kapoor, CEO of 360 degrees – Real Estate Services, and Madhav Raman, co-founder of Anagram Architects, lead the panel of judges in India. Dr. Nirmal De Silva, director and CEO of Paramount Realty, leads the judges in Sri Lanka.
The judges lead a transparent, fair, and credible selection process under the supervision of HLB, the global advisory and accounting network. The official supervisor is part of the “2024 Network of the Year” winner HLB International, the global network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers.
Winners of the Awards in the Middle East, India, and Sri Lanka will get the chance to compete for the coveted Best in Asia titles at the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, which will also be held 13 December 2024 in Bangkok.
