Elevating excellence: Highlights from the 11th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia in partnership with iProperty 2024

On October 25, 2024, Malaysia’s top real estate visionaries gathered under the elegant chandeliers of The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the 11th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia in partnership with iProperty.com.my. Hosted by the charming Terence Dass, this unforgettable evening honoured the brilliance of Malaysia’s property sector, awarding achievements across 58 categories.

The night commenced with welcome remarks from Mr Jules Kay, General Manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards & Events, setting the stage for a celebration of excellence.

He was followed by Datuk Architect Ezumi Harzani Ismail, former President of the Malaysian Institute of Architects and Chairperson of the Awards, who introduced the independent panel of 18 judges.

As the awards presentations began, anticipation filled the room. The People’s Choice Award, determined by property seekers, spotlighted 10 leading developers, including Mah Sing Group Berhad, Sime Darby Property Berhad, and Tropicana Corporation Berhad.

The ESG Developer Awards honoured key players making an environmental and social difference, with Iskandar Investment Berhad winning the Low Carbon Champion title, Tanah Sutera Development Sdn. Bhd. and Iskandar Investment Berhad as Social Impact Champions, and Lendlease & TRX City Sdn Bhd taking the Sustainable Design Champion.

The pinnacle of the evening was the Best Developer Malaysia 2024 accolade, awarded to AME Development Sdn Bhd for its exemplary design, sustainability leadership, and impact on Malaysia’s industrial real estate.

Adding to the excitement, the prestigious 2024 Malaysia Real Estate Personality of the Year Award was presented to Dato’ Tengku Ab. Aziz Tengku Mahmud, CEO of PNB Merdeka Ventures. He was commended for his transformative influence and commitment to the industry.

The winners will represent Malaysia at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok, Thailand, this December, competing with top talents from across Asia. With a memorable group photo to conclude, the night was a true tribute to the exceptional achievements shaping Malaysia’s property landscape.

This celebration reaffirmed PropertyGuru and iProperty Malaysia’s commitment to raising the bar in real estate, spotlighting innovation and sustainability as pillars of a prosperous future.
