Diverse segments represented and shortlisted for the 17th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards

Prominent developers earn nods in the highly anticipated annual gala celebration’s return in November

• SC Asset leads frontrunners with seven nominations, followed by multiple nominations for AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited; Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (FPHT); and Sammakorn Plus Company Limited 
• Prof. Dr. Kessara Thanyalakpark, managing director of Sena Development Public Company Limited, will receive the award for the Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year
• New titles such as Best Mega Mixed Use Development to be presented this year

BANGKOK, Thailand — 31 October 2022

Organisers of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards named today the list of shortlisted nominees vying for prestigious titles at the anticipated black-tie gala celebration in The Athenee Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok on Friday, 25 November 2022.

The 17th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards, presented by Mitsubishi Elevator, shortlisted 41 companies across 56 categories, including a wide variety of new titles this year from Best Mega Mixed Use Development to Best Pet-Friendly Residential Development.

SC Asset dominates the shortlist of nominees with seven nominations, spanning the Developer, Development, Design, and Special Recognition categories. The developer is nominated for such projects as Baan Kon Sode (Venue Rama 9), Grand Bangkok Boulevard Ratchaphruek – Pinklao, Reference Sathorn – Wongwianyai, The Gentry Kasetnawamin, and Venue ID Motorway Rama 9.

AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited follows with five nominations, supported by such projects as Baan Klang Muang Classe Sukhumvit 77, Centro Rama5 – Nakhon In, Moden Rama, The City Pinklao-Borom 3, and The City Charun-Pinklao.

Sammakorn Plus Company Limited has four nominations for developments such as Providence Lane Ekkamai-Ramintra and Park Heritage Pattanakarn.

Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (FPHT) is also slated for a triumphant night with four nominations, including those for the massive integrated district One Bangkok.

Other major shortlisted nominees include Aestima Asset Company Limited; Comfort Max; Fynn Development Co., Ltd; Grace House and Property Co., Ltd; Jaytiya Property Co., Ltd.; Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited; PCC Property Co., Ltd.; Pearl Island Property Co., Ltd.; The Riviera Group; and Tropical Life Real Estate.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Kessara Thanyalakpark, managing director of Sena Development Public Company Limited, is set to receive the Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year award. The editors of Property Report by PropertyGuru, the official magazine of the Awards, were impressed with her innovations and initiatives in the adoption of renewable energy and the promotion of carbon neutrality in property development.

The shortlist of nominees was decided by an independent panel of judges consisting of Suphin Mechuchep, chairperson of the Awards in Thailand and chairperson of JLL Thailand; Chaiyuth Pete Thirangoon, director, Akatan Company Limited; Chaivut Saengaram, Ph.D, managing director, Chuchawal – Royal Haskoning Ltd.; Charles Blocker, CEO & Founder, IC Partners Limited; Dr. Phongthon Tharachai, CEO, Project Planning Service Public Company Limited; Leong Choong Peng, director, Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors; Marciano Birjmohun, director, The Singapore-Thai Chambers of Commerce; Precha Suphapetiporn, president, Thai Real Estate Sales and Marketing Association; Professor Sonthya Vanichvatana, Ph.D, MRICS, associate architect, chairperson of the Department of Real Estate, MSME School of Management and Economics, Assumption University; and Sasivimol Sinthawanarong, design principal, Jarken Co., Ltd.

The regional panel judges consist of architect Alan Whitley; Bobby Birt, managing director, Samui Island Realty; Bobby Brooks, founder, director, and advisor director, Bobby Brooks Property Advisor Co.
