Celebrating excellence at the 12th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2024 Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony

On September 6, 2024, the prestigious Shangri-La The Fort in Manila played host to the 12th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony. The evening, filled with excitement and anticipation, brought together the most prominent names in the Philippine real estate industry, celebrating the country’s best developments, architects, designers, and rising stars.

Gelli Victor, the evening’s gracious emcee, set the tone right from the start. The event, presented by Kohler, highlighted the 19th cycle of the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, a series that has recognized outstanding achievements across Southeast Asia and beyond since 2005. This year’s Philippines edition was a testament to the nation’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation in real estate.

The panel of judges for the 12th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2024 includes esteemed leaders from various property industry sectors. The panel is chaired by Cyndy Tan Jarabata, the president of TAJARA Leisure & Hospitality Group Inc., and includes the following distinguished members:

The awards evening boasted a total of 83 categories, with highly anticipated titles such as Best Developer, Best ESG Developer, and the distinguished Real Estate Personality of the Year.

Dominating the night was Robinsons Land, which claimed the prestigious Best Developer title for the third consecutive year, further affirming its leadership in the Philippine real estate sector. The company also won Best Developer (Luzon), showcasing its consistency and excellence across its various projects. RLC Residences, the residential arm of Robinsons Land, garnered multiple awards, reflecting the company’s ongoing dedication to creating innovative and high-quality living spaces. Robinsons Offices also earned several awards, underscoring the company’s diverse strengths in office space development.

The 2024 ceremony marked a historic moment for the PropertyGuru Awards with the presentation of the inaugural ESG Developer Awards, highlighting the rising importance of sustainability and social responsibility in the real estate industry. Alveo Land took home the first Social Impact Award, while PrimaryHomes, Inc. won the maiden Sustainable Construction Award.

Megaworld Corporation, the most awarded company of the year, was honoured with the Sustainable Design Award and Energy Efficiency Award. On top of these ESG honours, Megaworld also clinched awards for Best Developer (Visayas), Best Mixed-Use Developer, and Best Hospitality Developer. These numerous awards, alongside other project-specific recognitions, further reinforce Megaworld’s position as a dominant player in the country’s real estate landscape.

One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the 2024 Philippines Rising Star Award to Ms. Mariana Beatriz Zobel de Ayala, Senior Vice President and Head of Leasing and Hospitality, at Ayala Land, Inc. Her innovative approach and dedication to sustainable growth have set her apart as a trailblazer in the industry, further elevating Ayala Land’s standing in the property sector.

Also, Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman and CEO of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, was awarded the 2024 Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year. This award, presented by the editors of Property Report by PropertyGuru, recognised his visionary leadership and outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and society.

As the night progressed, guests were treated to a series of inspiring speeches, live music, and a sumptuous dinner. The much-anticipated Stars of the Night awards, presented by The Philippine Star, brought an element of fun as two of the best-dressed guests were recognized for their style and flair.

The evening concluded with a group photo, capturing the assembly of developers, judges, and VIPs — leaders and visionaries shaping the future of Philippine real estate.
