Developers ascend to industry excellence in milestone 15th edition of PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards

Thailand’s longest-running real estate awards programme celebrates 15 years of distinctions for property development, architecture, and design

• Origin Property Public Company Limited bests 30 shortlisted companies for the ultimate accolade of Best Developer
• Habitat Group, L.P.N. Development PCL., and Real Estate Engineering Samui Co., Ltd take other top Developer titles
• Villas, condominiums, and other residential developments outside Greater Bangkok among 37 projects honoured at glamorous gala event and awards ceremony in The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok

BANGKOK, Thailand – 18 November 2020

The milestone 15th edition of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards was celebrated on Wednesday, 18 November during a glamorous ceremony at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.

The 15th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards honoured the kingdom’s most outstanding property developers, developments, and designs across 44 categories. Representatives of around 30 shortlisted companies safely gathered at the highly anticipated gala event and awards presentation that marked the 15th year of Thailand’s longest-running awards programme.

Origin Property Public Company Limited gained four awards, including the prestigious Best Developer title and the Best Luxury Condo Development (Bangkok) award for Park Origin Phayathai.

Habitat Group was named Best Boutique Developer, one of seven wins that included the titles of Best Low Rise High End Condo Development (Bangkok), Best Condo Architectural Design, and Best Condo Interior Design for the residential project Walden Thonglor 8.

The gala event and awards ceremony proved to be a triumphant night for companies that excel in the development of residential projects. The title of Best Breakthrough Developer, which had never been presented before in the 15-year history of the awards, went to Real Estate Engineering Samui Co., Ltd. Meanwhile, the “best of Thailand” prizes – Best Condo Development (Thailand) and Best Housing Development (Thailand) – went to two Hua Hin projects, respectively: InterContinental Residences Hua Hin by Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited and Falcon Hill by Falcon Hill Development Limited. Some of the finest villas, housing projects, condominiums, and residential developments in Phuket, Samui, Khao Yai, and the Eastern Seaboard, among other areas outside Greater Bangkok, also received accolades.

A total of 37 projects across a wide range of price segments were laurelled at the 2020 PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards. Rhythm Charoenkrung Pavillion by AP Thailand was named Best High-Rise High-End Condo Development (Bangkok) while the prize of Best Affordable Condo Development (Bangkok) was awarded to Lumpini Place Rama 3 – Riverine by L.P.N Development PCL. The title of Best Sustainable Developer was also awarded for the first time to L.P.N. Development PCL.

Dr. Prateep Tangmatitham, the distinguished Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Supalai Public Company, took the stage to receive the 2020 Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year trophy. The award, which is chosen by the editors of PropertyGuru Property Report Magazine, recognised Dr. Prateep Tangmatitham for more than four decades of contributions to the Thai property sector.

Since founding Supalai Public Company Limited in 1989, Dr. Prateep Tangmatitham has been at the forefront of innovations in residential products, addressing the needs of home seekers of all ages in Bangkok and provincial areas as well as overseas markets across Asia Pacific.
