Achievements and excellence: Highlights from the 14th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore)
The 14th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) brought together the crème de la crème of Singapore’s real estate industry in a grand celebration held on 8 November 2024 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Emceed by the illustrious Denise Keller, the black-tie affair was a testament to the nation’s thriving real estate sector and recognised outstanding achievements in property development, innovation, and sustainability.
The evening began with a warm welcome from Mr. Jules Kay, General Manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards & Events. In his opening remarks, he lauded Singapore’s developers for their continued excellence and contributions to the city’s skyline. Ms Kristin Thorsteins, the judging panel chairperson and co-founder of Portman Investment Pte Ltd, followed with a speech celebrating the diligent evaluation process highlighting the very best in real estate.
Guests enjoyed a refined dining experience featuring a selection of exquisite dishes, including crab and avocado timbale, abalone consomme, steamed garoupa, and beef short ribs.
The glittering event showcased Singapore’s finest developments, with awards presented across 28 categories. The highly coveted Best Developer title was awarded to UOL Group Limited for its exceptional commitment to quality and sustainability. This is the third time the developer has received the top honour in the awards’ history. The company also bagged awards for Best Hospitality Developer, Best Residential Developer, and Best Sustainable Developer. Plus, UOL Group Limited’s joint ventures with Singapore Land Group Limited and Pan Pacific Hotels Group also received recognition.
Among the night’s special honours was the Singapore Real Estate Personality of the Year, awarded by Property Report’s editorial team to Lim Yew Soon, Managing Director of EL Development Pte Ltd, for his visionary leadership in the industry. Another prestigious accolade, the Rising Star award given by PropertyGuru.com.sg, was presented to Jerome Ng, Director for Business Development at Chiu Teng Group, in recognition of his promising contributions to the sector.
