Indonesia’s best in real estate honoured at the 10th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2024

The country’s top real estate developers and projects gathered to celebrate excellence in innovation, sustainability, and design

Jakarta, Indonesia – The 10th annual PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards celebrated the nation’s top developers, projects, and designs in a grand gala dinner and awards ceremony held on Friday, 23 August 2024, at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place. The event, which has become a prestigious platform for recognising excellence in Indonesia’s real estate sector, saw the industry’s finest gather to celebrate and recognise the significant achievements in 58 categories.

Hosted by Sasha Lauder, the awards night was a testament to Indonesia’s growing real estate market, showcasing innovative designs, sustainable projects, and exceptional developments that are shaping the future of urban landscapes across the country. Distinguished guests, including leading developers, investors, industry professionals, and VIPs, attended the event, all sharing a common goal of advancing the nation’s property sector.

The evening began with a speech from the event organiser, Mr. Jules Kay, GM of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards & Events. He was followed by the Chairperson of this year’s panel of judges, Senior Director and Head of Advisory at JLL Indonesia, Ibu Vivin Harsanto. Next was a speech by Ibu Marine Novita, the Chief Executive Officer of PropertyKlik.com, the Official Partner of the awards event. And rounding off the speakers was Pak Wahyu Wibowo of HLB Hadori Sugiarto Adi & Rekan – HLB Indonesia, our accounting partner in charge of upholding the Awards’ core principles of fairness, transparency, and integrity.

While dinner was being served, the Independent Panel of Judges was introduced, beginning with the Chairperson, Ibu Vivin Harsanto of JLL Indonesia. The other members of the panel include: Alex Bayusaputro, founder and managing partner, creative director, Indonesia and Singapore, Genius Loci; Bagus Adikusumo, senior director for office services, PT. Colliers International Indonesia; Cornel B. Juniarto, country managing partner, Hermawan Juniarto Deloitte Legal; Djinadi Gunawan, managing director, PT Meinhardt Indonesia; Doddy A. Tjahjadi, managing director, PTI Architects; Hendra Hartono, CEO, PT. Leads Property Services Indonesia; Lina Gan, founder and editor-in-chief, Indonesia Design; and M. Archica Danisworo, co-founder and design director, PDW Architects.

As the night progressed, awards were presented across 58 categories, recognizing the best developers, developments, and designs across the country.

The coveted title of Best Developer was awarded to Sinar Mas Land for the second consecutive year, thanks to projects such as Biomedical Campus and Tresor. The developer also won the title of Best Mega Township Development for BSD City. At the same time, its joint ventures with Hongkong Land (Navapark), Mitbana (Welton at Hiera BSD), and Sojitz Corporation [Greenland International Industrial Center (GIIC) at Kota Deltamas] received a variety of awards. The company impressed the judges with its commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable practices.

One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of the 2024 Indonesia Real Estate Personality of the Year, awarded by the editors of Property Report by PropertyGuru, the official magazine of the Awards. Unlike the other categories, this honour is bestowed on an individual who has shown exceptional dedication to the real estate industry, environmental sustainability, and community development. The 2024 Indonesia Real Estate Personality of the Year is Pak Joko Suranto, Chairman of Real Estate Indonesia (REI) and founder and CEO of Buana Kassiti Group.

Throughout the night, guests enjoyed a lavish dinner accompanied by live entertainment. They also had the opportunity to network with peers and industry leaders. The event celebrated the best in Indonesian real estate, offering a glimpse into the industry’s bright future.

The 10th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2024 was a night of accolades and a platform for fostering innovation and excellence in the industry.
