Rewriting herstory: Loemongga Haoemasan is Indonesia’s first female Real Estate Personality of the Year

A pioneering force, President Director of Asiana Group makes her mark as she breaks barriers at the 9th PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards 2023 

As the PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards celebrates its ninth year of honouring exceptional developers at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place on the 15th of September, it is with great pride that we will be granting the prestigious title of Indonesia Real Estate Personality of the Year for 2023 to none other than Ibu Loemongga Haoemasan, the President Director of Asiana Group. This honour marks a historic moment as Ibu Loemongga becomes the first female recipient of this accolade in the history of the PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards programme. 

Our recipient this year embodies the essence of a true multihyphenate, and her journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. While many may remember her as a renowned model and television personality from the 1990s, today she shines brightly in a different sphere as the driving force behind some of Indonesia’s most prominent real estate projects. 

As the President Director of Asiana Group, Loemongga has overseen the development of numerous residential landed projects and iconic high-rise developments, including Senopati Suites 1, 2, and 3, Nirvana Residence in Jakarta, Biu Biu in Jimbaran, Bali, and the highly anticipated TwoSenopati in SCBD, Jakarta. 

A finance graduate from Boston College in Massachusetts, Loemongga’s career took a significant turn when she transitioned from the world of banking with ING Barings to the dynamic realm of property development. Her groundbreaking shift in career trajectory did not go unnoticed; she was recognised as one of the “Most Inspiring Women” by Forbes Indonesia and frequently invited as a speaker at industry events, including the PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit 2022, where she was honoured among the leading Power Women of the industry. 

Her journey in the industry began with interactions with real estate developers during her banking days, fostering her interest in the industry. This passion eventually led to the establishment of Asiana Group and the creation of award-winning projects that have redefined Indonesia’s real estate landscape.

These organisations reflect her commitment to preserving and promoting Indonesia’s cultural heritage and supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
